The GeoTrek AL series of laser assualt rifles began to appear on calypso following the discovery of a number of new weapons and blueprints in an abandoned space freighter. Scheduled for delivery several months earlier, the weapons consignment from GeoTrek was found aboard the Vrillre Star as it drifted in space, hundreds of thousands of kilometers from calypso.
