Named after the native, energy absorbing Igni bugs, production of this handgun was started by Omegaton shortly after their onetime rivals Earth Weapon Enterprises announced their return to the Calypso market.
The introduction of a new type of heat sinks allowed this handgun a higher energy output in the same amount of time compared to the earlier Igni series handguns. As a result, the weapon is useful against larger and more powerful enemies.
