Description

As mission description describes, simply hunt 5 Mermoth Alphas.

The mission broker recommends hunting them to south of it's location on a small grassy plateau. This area is fine but the mob spawn is governed so that pretty much most of the time, there is only one Alpha.

So the quickest(cheapest?) way to achieve this mission is to kill the one Alpha, then round all the other Mermoths up and run them into the water using the cliff just beside the point where you can climb out of the water back up to the plateau. Each time you do this, a new Alpha will appear somewhere, find it, kill it, repeate process.

Perhaps MA have changed this since Akiran wrote his recommendation, because when I did this mission on 7 August 2012 there were four Alphas in the area at the same time. When one was killed another spawned almost immediately. I found the best way to do this was to land my plane just outside their reach on radar, jump out and shoot a few times, then when the Mermoth ran towards me jump in just as it was about to reach me and fly to another point to continue. That way I only got hit a couple of times, and finished the mission in a matter of minutes.
